Leia Lewis Henderson, M.A., M.A.T. is an award-winning educator who is visionary creator of the inspirational educational brand, Mrs. Henderson Loves the Kids, and Teach On Purpose, a growing community of enthusiastisc educators dedicated to living extraordinary lives.
Ms. Henderson is creator of The ELA RAPP Star Strategy - The #1 and Most Fun Constructed Response Strategy. She has trained nearly 300 teachers to use her sought after writing strategy.
Furthermore, Ms. Henderson teaches fellow enthusiastic educators how they, too, can professionally promote themselves by branding themselves and their original educational resources. She teaches her proven success strategies for business-minded educators through her original signature program, EduPreneurs Academy.
Ms. Henderson is a proud public school teacher and Louisiana Teacher Leader working in Caddo Parish. She has been celebrated as Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Week. She has served on her district's ELA Task Force and is actively engaged in professional development programming as a learner and presenter/instructor.

As a dedicated teacher, Ms. Henderson considers her greatest accomplishment guiding her students (of all ages) to be to be curious, courageous, and confident lifelong learners. Her inspirational motto is "Watch Us Grow!"
Ms. Henderson's teaching experience includes school-wide Art teacher, classroom teacher of English Language Arts for third, fourth, and sixth grades, Adjunct Instructor of Centenary College of Louisiana (Fine Arts), and consultant instructor of continuing education (Business Foundations/Marketing) for the City of Shreveport and Southern University Shreveport, Louisiana (varied topics).
Ms. Henderson also has enjoyed a 20+ year career in Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, and Consulting. She is a celebrated local and national leader of cultural arts, community gardening, community-based youth programming, and community development. Her visionary ventures include the nonprofit organization, Sankofa Vision (Founding Director), and Maafa Commemoration New Orleans (Founding Producer).
Leia Lewis Henderson holds a B.A. in Drama and Communications and M.A. in Arts Administration, both from University of New Orleans, and a M.A.T. in Elementary Education from Centenary College of Louisiana. Additionally, Ms. Henderson is a Certified Environmental Literacy Teacher (Roots of Success). She has completed the Education and School Leadership Certification (Advance Innovative Education).
Ms. Henderson is co-author of the book 365 Days of Gratitude.
She loves creating art and travelling. She and her sons live in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA.
